Wang Qinmin, Vice-Director of Fujian CPPCC, Director General of Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology attended and made a speech at the ¡°Cross-Strait Economic Development Forum¡± Held in Hong Kong

From March 29 to April 1 2007, Vice-Director of Fujian CPPCC and Director General of Department of Science and Technology, Professor Wang Qinmin, at the invitation of Liu Zunyi£¬ Academician of Hong Kong Chinese University, Vice Chairman of CSC¡ªIEAS£¬attend the ¡°Cross-Strait Economic Development Forum¡±held in Hong Kong with the title of Academician of CSC¡ªIEAS, and made a speech ¡°Spatial Information Technology Applied along the West Side of Taiwan Strait¡± at the conference of ¡°Cross-strait atmosphere, environmental management information, geo-information cooperation¡±.

 ¡°Cross-Strait Economic Development Forum¡± was initiated by CSC¡ªIEAS, centered on win-win situation of cross-strait economic development, through high-level academic forums to promote the regional economic rapid development and achieve a win-win situation, provide strategic, high-quality, uninterrupted and fruitful the scientific basis and theoretical support and include cross-strait economic win-win into the consideration and study of world economic globalization and regional economic integration and domestic economic strategic environment. In addition to the keynote report, the Forum also includes: Cross-strait economy and global economy, cross-strait cooperation in science and technology, cross-strait financial investment cooperation, cross-strait weather, geo-information environmental management and cross-strait trade and transportation cooperation and foreign businessmen¡¯s prospective on cross-strait economic cooperation. Attendants are mainly the experts and scholars (mostly academicians of two Chinese Academies and academicians of CSC¡ªIEAS) from Mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong and some entrepreneurs, a total of about 100 people.
